The First Step You Must Take In Order To Lose Fat Permanently

June 22nd, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By Chaney Weiner Its that time of year again, the time when everyone makes their New Years resolutions. Most people this time of year make their New Years resolutions, then follow through on it(temporarily), and after a few weeks(at most) they go right back to their same habits only to make the same New Years resolution the following year. No where is this more evident than with our bodies, especially when it comes to fat loss. In fact, by the end of January, 95% of people who set New Years goals to lose weight and fat have already broken their promise to themselves. In addition, 95% of people who said they were going to have their best year ever are already on the same track as they were last year. Most people want to lose fat and look better. The fact that, as of 2005, 65% of the people in the United States are overweight and 30.5% are considered obese, indicates that this is a societal issue. But is it really? The commercials and infomercials year after year promote the same promises using the same products(with different names) and are making claims that their system is working. If this is the case then how come the numbers stated above have steadily been going up over the past 30 years? Many people will say that our eating habits need to improve, which is true. Many people will also say that you need to exercise, which is true. Now how many of these people also include how you program yourself for success for you to reach your goalsnot many if any at all, and those that may are most likely not doing so properly. You may and probably will hear claims about how they will motivate you to succeed. Many people will start their New Years Fitness Resolution and failwhy? The reason is because they are not programmed for success BEFORE they set out on their path to achieving their goals. This absolutely must be done first and foremost. So, of course the question that is on everyones mind is, How do I become programmed to reach my fat loss goals? This is a 3 step process and applies to anyone no matter if they need to lose 10 lbs or 200 lbs: A. Your thoughts(belief systems) B. Your feelings C. Your actions Reprogramming your mind to successfully lose fat starts with your vision. You must have clarity and be very detailed in your thoughts about how you want to look. Focus ONLY on what you want to look like. Many people focus on how they do not want to look like. Also, people start to think about how am I going to do this and they get caught up in the details and then the anxiety and fear sets in. When determining your fat loss vision do not worry about the how to part or the details. Once you have your vision in place and your thoughts behind it, start to feel it coming into your life. Start to feel it as though you now have that body you always dreamed of. Feel yourself fitting into those skinny jeans as though it is happening right now. The feeling part is vital. Always feel it as though it is happening right now. Most people just write their goals down, think about them, and feel that is all they need to do. It is the feeling behind your vision and your thoughts of how you want to look like is what drives your actions. Once you have your thoughts and feelings behind your fat loss vision in place it is time to take action. By this point you have been programmed to follow through and see it as you visualized it. If you need to hire a fitness professional to set you up with a fitness and nutrition program you can do so. The most important step you can take to losing fat and weight is to reprogram your mind for success first. Most people have to see it first and then they believe it. The best formula for guaranteed success is to believe it first and then see it. Chaney Weiner is a performance enhancement specialist and motivational coach. Pain Killer Addiction - Act Now Get Results Tomorrow

June 19th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Helen_Hecker] Helen Hecker Once a patient, addicted to pain killing drugs, has completed detoxification, the treatment provider must then work with the patient to determine which course of treatment is best for the patient. Often people who are addicted to pain killers are plagued with a variety of symptoms; many times they don’t associate these symptoms with the pain killing drug. 2.2 million people aged 12 and up abused painkillers for the first time within the past year; this is more than the number of people who started using marijuana and has overtaken use of cocaine. If you think you’re addicted and want to get off pain killers or other drugs, it’s best to get detoxified as fast as you can and then go through some type of rehabilitation; it’s important to have others to lean on and learn from and offer support to you also. When you’re addicted physically to a drug, like pain killers or alcohol, etc., it’s because you’ve suppressed or shut down your body’s production of endorphins, which are natural opiate pain killers; when this happens you start craving the drug that you replaced the endorphins with whether it is alcohol, any of various drugs or pain killers. More than 415,000 people received treatment for pain killer abuse or addiction in this past year. There are many side effects and serious adverse reactions that can occur with the use of opioids as pain killers. Many other drugs can interact with the opioids and cause a variety of unpleasant or dangerous symptoms; this can be fatal. Addiction to pain killers is an escalating problem, especially the abuse of opioid pain killers. The common side effects and adverse reactions of pain killers are: nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, miosis (contraction of the pupil), orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drops upon sudden standing) — often happens when getting up too fast when getting out of bed in the morning, urinary retention, constipation and fecal impaction. Opioids, used as the doctor has prescribed, are supposedly not dangerous according to some well-established medical groups; but if that’s the case, why then are so many people addicted to them? If you’re addicted to pain killers or other drugs or think you may be, you can start working to increase the body’s endorphin production naturally; some of the ways are laughing, touching, massage, acupuncture, acupressure, walking, and anything that makes you feel good that is natural. There are quite a number of effective treatment options to treat pain killer addiction to prescription opioids and to help manage the sometimes severe withdrawal symptoms that can accompany the sudden stopping of pain killers or drugs. Pain killer addiction includes: opiate dependency, opiate addiction, narcotic dependency, narcotic addiction, and pain killer dependency. Less common side effects and adverse reactions of pain killers are: confusion, hallucinations, delirium, hives, itching, hypothermia, bradycardia (slowed heart rate), tachycardia (rapid heart rate), raised intracranial pressure, ureteric or biliary spasm, muscle rigidity and flushing. The longer you wait to get treatment the worse it’ll get; so take action now. If you don’t have insurance, check with your local mental health agencies to see what’s available that is free. All other demands like that of children, a job, school, or any other responsibilities may make inpatient treatment seem like an intrusion but it is not. It’s important to get help and not try to get off pain killers on your own. Many insurance plans will cover inpatient detox; check yours if you have insurance. Some insurance companies will pay for one or two weeks; some may also pay for rehabilitation too. Today’s pain killer treatment options are drawn from long-time experience and clinical research from studying and treating all types of drugs and even heroin addiction. The body’s natural pain killers, endorphins, have been replaced by these pain killing drugs; get them flowing again with lots of laughter and other natural endorphin generators. The potential for pain killer addiction in patients with chronic pain conditions is often overlooked by physicians. How to Keep From Getting Judgment Liens

June 15th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By John Nazareno Judgment liens can be placed against ones home or other assets when they refuse to pay credit card bills, home improvement bills, or just about any other type of bill. All a creditor needs to do is pursue payment and if the homeowner is not able or unwilling to pay, the creditor can go to court and a judge can place a lien against the home of the person that owes the debt. While a judgment is often said to not be as serious as a tax lien, it is still something that someone should try to avoid and do away with if they have a judgment lien placed against them. Whether its a tax lien or a judgment lien, these things are best dealt with right away rather than ignored. Of course, it goes without saying that if you really ant to avoid having judgment liens placed against your home that you should pay your bills. But, weve all been in a situation where we just cant afford all of the things we need to pay. If you are in this situation, there is no shame in it because every now and again things come up and our bills just seem to grow and grow. Thankfully, judgment liens will not be filed the first day you have a late bill. If you are just going through a tough period where you need a little more time than usual, youll usually be just fine and will not even have to think twice about judgment liens. Judgment liens dont happen when youre a couple weeks late on your credit card bill or if you forget to pay the landscaper for a month or even two. But, if you go for long periods of time without paying a bill and without responding to attempts to collect the debts you owe, you might have to deal with judgment liens. Thankfully, this wont happen without your knowledge. You will usually receive notices from the creditor that they are going to court to file liens against you so that they can receive payment for their services or products. At this point it is a good time to swallow your pride and call the creditor and try to work out a payment plan that is something you can stick to in your financial situation and is something that the creditor will be happy with. In the end, no one wants to go to court, not you, or the creditor, so if you just communicate you can usually get him or her to stop the legal action and allow you to pay him or her off as you can, as long as you actually intend to do so. Most creditors will be happy to work with you, as theyll make more money on the interest they can charge you! Also, a creditor loses money when they have to take the time to prepare their case against you for court, so theyd rather get the payments a little late than have to go through the court process. If you receive a notice that a hearing is scheduled in the attempt to place a lien against your home for nonpayment for services or products, you should show up to the hearing. You should state your case, especially if you believe that you do not owe the creditor, or if you dispute the amount that they are charging. Creditors are often willing to forego late fees and even interest charges if you are willing to pay them off sooner rather than later. If you are not present to defend yourself, the court will assume that the debts are valid and will go ahead and place the lien against your home, so it is in your best interest to go to the hearing as the court will often order a continuance or even a dismissal if they think that the circumstances warrant it. The worst thing that can happen if you show up is that the court does order the judgment lien, the best thing that can happen is that you are given more time to pay the outstanding debts before any legal action is taken. Judgment liens typically are not something that will affect you right away; it just means that you cannot sell your house without paying off the debt. This means that the lien placed against your home will be paid off before you see any of the proceeds from the sale. If the lien is small, perhaps this isnt a big issue for you. If the lien is larger this might be something you want to think about because it could keep you from having a large enough down payment for a new home. Judgment liens typically have an interest rate attached to them according to state statute. This means that a lien isnt just a long-term loan between friends; it means that the lean holder is compensated for not having been paid for their services or products right away. The interest on the lien can grow quickly, making the debt more and more difficult to pay off before the sale of the home. The best thing to do is deal with your bills right off. When the collection agencies start calling, dont be afraid to talk to them. Tell them that you want to pay your bills, but that you cant afford their arrangements. While the creditor may initially balk at the idea, eventually theyll see that they can get their money from you if they do it on your terms. So, if you cant pay your bills right away, pay them as you can and let the creditor know that you are making every attempt possible to pay the bills. If you can show a judge that you have been communicating and making regular payments to the creditor you may be able to avoid a judgment lien altogether. Judgment liens are not the end of the world, but they are best avoided so pay your bills or communicate with your creditor and attempt to pay off the debt, as you are able. Mother’s Anguish Choosing Among Two Poisons for Her Son to Receive First Holy Communion

June 7th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By Nancy Guberti A Mothers Anguish choosing among two poisons for her son to receive his First Holy Communion and be accepted as part of the Catholic Family At what cost does it take to be accepted? Why should anything come easy when dealing with the Roman Catholic Church? Just for once, a mother thought she may find solace in the Church that she herself has been a part of since birth. She attended Catholic elementary, high school and college, served as an Eucharistic Minister at Einstein Hospital bringing the Word of God to so many who were physically unable to receive the host. Before she married, she requested that her future husband convert from Greek Orthodox to Roman Catholicism so when they had a family, the children would see the parents receiving as a united family, both mother and father. Blessed with two children, one with serious food allergies, celiac, a liver disorder and GI issues, her youngest son is facing a serious dilemma as he approaches his First Holy Communion. Can special exemptions be made for a child who cannot receive the wheat host, the low-gluten wheat host, the wine containing liquor or the mustum grape juice that has a very low alcohol content of less than 1.0% containing sulfites? If the Catholic Church can grant a special dispensation from the obligation to abstain from meat on Fridays during Lent in order to let the Irish Catholics eat corned beef on St. Patricks Day falling on a Friday during Lent, then why cant a special dispensation be made for innocent children wanting to participate in receiving their First Holy Communion in a suitable manner that will not be unhealthy for them? Why cant the Catholic Church provide a form of Jesus body or blood that will not cause physical harm to a child or adult or anyone for that matter? The answer may surprise you or it may not. It all depends on who you ask. The Bible does not specifically reference that the body of Christ should be made of wheat but men of cloth believe that it was wheat flour that was used at the time of Jesus and that is what they believe the bread that Jesus ate and shared on His Last Supper was made from. I may believe it was made from garbanzo or lentil flour but I am not the one in charge here. Organizations like Catholic Celiac (www.catholicceliacs.org) and the Benedictine Sisters are helping many Catholics by providing information on celiac disease and the Catholic Communion as well as offering a low-gluten host. The issues arise when you cannot consume any wheat, alcohol or sulfites. To date, special dispensations have not been made to allow for wheat-free substitutes or plain grape juice to be consumed as a form of the body and blood of Christ. There are Christian churches that are more flexible with the interpretation of the body and blood of Christ and actually allow substitutes for health reasons. It is amazing how the Roman Catholic Church is so strict with their guidelines that they are willing to turn even the children away from participating in the Holy Communion. Faith can play havoc on your conscious, eat at your core and question your commitment to choose between your Church and your child. Do you protect the health of your child or risk exposing them to a small wafer, a sip of wine, ingesting sulfites, wheat and gluten at the expense of having your child receive their First Holy Communion and being accepted into the lovely congregation of the Roman Catholic Church? The weak give in and follow the norm. One can find comfort when you come up against resistance from others; just remember the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. who stated, The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy. Faith means a strong belief in a supernatural power or powers that control human destiny. My faith leads me to believe that Jesus Christ would accept children with all their disabilities and either heal their broken bodies incapable of receiving His Body and Blood in the form that the Canon Law insists upon or He would change the law itself. Since there are numerous biblical passages that teach us Jesus loved children, their innocence and wanted them to have a strong faith, I know deep in my heart that He would allow all people, regardless or race, age or health issues to be able to receive some form of His Body and Blood. Must everything be so black and white? What about all the problems the Catholic church is facing with their priests conduct; why can they find solutions for their problems and we must be asked to forgive and move on? It just seems hypocritical. Besides waiting to talk with Jesus in the next life, is there anyone else that can help resolve this dilemma? Must the children and adults with health issues feel like social outcasts or will the Catholic Church embrace and accept them just like Jesus would embrace them? By Nancy A. Guberti, Certified Nutritionist from http://www.coachforhealthyliving.com/. Nancy resides in Westchester County with her husband and two children. The UK’s Most Popular Phone Number for Successful Marketing

June 1st, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By Michael Soliatis Its very easy to fall into the trap of believing that what works in one country will work in another especially when both countries share the same language. A case in point is toll free phone numbers. In the USA nearly every business uses a toll free number. And the reason is not hard to fathom. In such a large country most calls are long distance. For instance, its nearly twice as far from New York to San Francisco as it is from London to Moscow. So if you want customers to call you, making it easy with a toll free number is not just a good idea but pretty well essential. An American setting up business in the United Kingdom might think that a toll free phone number is just as essential as it is at home. Yet this is not necessarily the case. For one thing, the UK is only a small country. From the south west tip at Lands End to the north west tip at John OGroats is just 868 miles. Thats not very big when you think that some Australians live 200 miles from their nearest neighbour. In fact, you could drop the UK into the Hudson Bay and lose it. Yet one of the noticeable traits of UK inhabitants is how parochial they are. Traditionally they avoid doing business with companies at the other end of the country. That makes a free phone number a good option since it hides the geographical location of the user. But even though UK free phone numbers have been available for decades, there are many situations when bearing the cost of a large number of free phone calls is not viable. In the mid-nineties, British Telecom came up with a new solution. BT decided to tackle this problem by introducing the 0990 number prefix that, unlike normal phone numbers, was not related to any particular place so callers would not know to where they were calling. Callers were, and still are, charged at BTs National Rate the rate you pay for making a call outside your local area, which is 8p/minute daytime, 4p/minute evenings and 2p/minute weekends. To test if the public would respond to this idea, BT arranged for Tango to use one of these new numbers for a competition advertised on TV. Later when the regulator Oftel (whose role has now been absorbed into Ofcom) changed phone numbers to eleven digits and ratified prefixes, the Non-Geographic National Rate was assigned the prefix 0870. The popularity of using 0870 numbers quickly increased with lots of national companies keen to use them especially because they have the added incentive of paying the user a royalty if they generate a high number of call minutes. Typically, royalty rebates are available from about 1p to 3p per minute dependent on call volumes. And the incentive to use these numbers is further increased by the fact that 0870 numbers are generally provided free of charge by telephone companies, although memorable numbers attract a premium. A glance through any newspaper will reveal just how many UK companies use 0870 numbers and, conversely, how few rely on 0800 free phone numbers. There have been problems with some large national companies apparently prepared to annoy their customers by not answering calls promptly and dealing inefficiently with enquiries. This has prompted several Ofcom investigations into misuse. Nevertheless, businesses both large and small have taken to 0870 numbers in a big way and, for the foreseeable future, they seem here to stay. 24 Hour No Credit Check Loans: Are They Really Available?

May 29th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Susan_Dean]Susan Dean Yes! 24 hour no credit check loans are really available. And they are available to just about anybody who applies for them. This may seem unbelievable to some people that there are lenders out there that are willing to approve unsecured loans for people who possibly have a bad credit rating. But this really is the case. If you are someone looking to apply for a fast loan and have a poor credit rating then 24 hour no credit check loans can be a solution for you. Now whilst I say that, don’t get fooled into thinking that just because this type of loan is easy to get that it doesn’t have its down side. You must do your homework first! By this I mean that you must first compare all the lending institutions out there that offer this easy to get type of finance. Because these lenders are willing to approve finance to people with no credit checks they will no doubt charge very high interest rates along with high application fees. This may not be a problem for you if you have a good income coming in but for many people in need of fast cash it isn’t the case. No matter what type of loan you are approved for and no matter who you lender is you still have to be able to pay back those regular payments. Not only be able to pay back the payments but also pay them back by the due date. If you do not do this then you can find yourself in a lot of trouble. So think carefully before you jump into any offer! There are loads of online lending institutions that offer 24 hour no credit check loans so there is no excuse not to do some comparative homework. It really doesnt take up much of your time to check out what is on offer. In the end you will be happier that you did. Standards for Dry Washing and Pressure Washing in Mobile Car Care

May 26th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By Lance Winslow The industry standard for mobile washing is completing the car and removing the dirt so it is clean as promised to the customer. Some would say this is not a standard but rather the minimum required. The environmental standards for run off are simple in that no used wash water is allowed to enter a storm drain. Which is fairly simple and straightforward. Customers obviously prefer a clean car. So should you use a product such as Dry Wash n Guard or use a pressure washer to clean the automobile? There are competing methods and theories here and each side has valid points and the debate is often quite heated if your follow the subject on bulletin boards or BLOGS in the auto detailing industry. If you did not tell the customer how you were cleaning or washing; then the customer would be more impressed with the results from dry wash, but the dry washed car would more resemble a wash and quick wax. So putting up a dry wash car next to a car washed with a pressure washer is not a fair contest in that the customer would prefer the dry washed car and those results better. But if you put up a dry wash car to a car, which was washed with a pressure washer and then glazed or quick waxed with a spray bottle wax, the customer would not have a preference as long as you used a good brand of quick wax. Now then if you had a customer standing next to you while you washed the car. The average customer not knowing about dry wash would prefer the hand pressure wash. The informed customer would not care either way, provided you had educated them in advance to the dry wash methods and why it works, how it works and what they get extra out of it. A detailed car using dry wash and pressure washing to the customer would be very similar and the average customer would be happy either way. The informed critical eye, might be upset to see that hood vents and other things were not completely cleaned. I do understand that Dry Wash n Guard now has a plastic cleaner to correct this situation. I have seen people go ballistic when they see some one is washing their car with dry wash and they thought they were using water, these operators obviously did not explain the dry wash benefits very well or at all in advance. Therefore caused a situation where the consumer felt mislead, I cannot imagine the dry washer ever returning to that location or attempting to get referrals. It may have been a simple misunderstanding but the consumer was very upset and the detailer-dry washers lost the account. The gentleman who was enraged even called security and the property manager to have him thrown off the property, needless to say it meant no detailers, water or other wise were allowed on the property, eventually I think our franchisee in the area got back onto the property after jumping thru some serious hoops and long explanation and best attire in a long meeting which included him buying lunch at the golf club for the property owner and manager? (When I discuss franchisees; I founded this company: http://www.detailguys.com and http://www.carwashguys.com ). If do not want to see a mad customer, and you use dry wash; then it is advised to be upfront with a complete explanation. When using a pressure washer we never get these types of situations, unless it is really windy and someone with a clean car gets over-spray. As a matter of fact we are often asked; You dont use dry wash do you? We have never answered yes, so I do not know what the result would be if we had said yes, I just think back to that parking lot situation with the mislead consumer or miss-understanding dry wash professional. What do I personally think of dry wash? Well I use the same method with a quick wax, so I am not hostile towards it. I know our customers love us and that most of the competition hates us, of those competitors some are using dry wash but most use pressure washers. I clean my show truck, semi, with quick wax bottle of spray and towel often, similar to the dry wash method because I never let it get too, dirty, the rest of the time I use the pressure washer. So personally I use the dry wash method on my own vehicle and it works fine indeed. So as an informed person my personal preference is that I like both. But for speed and economics we have chosen to stick with the pressure washers. Dry Wash’ers might argue that, the pressure washer is a cost too you know? Yes, this is true and for someone who does not have the money to buy a water tank, and home depot pressure washer, a relevant point, but you can buy an Ex-Cell Honda, a good one, Home Depot Pressure Washer for $600.00, so you will have to make your own decision as to which method you intend to use. Either way, be sure to be upfront with customers and if you use dry wash, be sure to educate them on the many benefits for positive customer relations. If you use a pressure washer; watch the over spray and keep the dirty water out of the storm drains. Think about it. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. Using Your Credit Card Wisely

May 18th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By Peter Kenny Although credit cards can be an invaluable financial asset, unless you use them wisely you will find yourself drowning in debt. However, if you use your credit card wisely then you can save yourself money and be able to purchase the items that you could not afford in one lump sum on your current wages. Here are some tips about how to use your credit card wisely. Building a credit history One of the best ways to use your credit card wisely is to use your card to build up your credit history. People who borrow and pay back the money responsibly have a much better credit history than those who never borrow at all. If you spend money on your credit card and then pay it back quickly, you will be seen as a good borrower and you will get better deals on other financial products like loans and mortgages. Paying off your balance Another sensible way to use your credit card is to only charge to your card what you can afford to pay back each month. Although this is not always possible because of large purchases or unexpected expenditures, you should generally try to budget to pay all or most of your balance back each month. If you can pay back your balance in full each month then you wont be subject to the high interest rates of your card. However, even if you cant pay back the whole amount, make sure you pay back more than the minimum payment. Paying only the minimum will leave you wasting money on interest and your balance will a lot longer to pay off. Keeping cards at home If you are having trouble with your credit card spending, then a good way to avoid the temptation is to leave your credit cards at home unless you really will need them. If you are simply going out on a small shopping trip, leave your cards at home so that you wont be tempted to buy anything extra. Only take your credit cards out when you really need them, or in case of emergency. Balance transfers If you find that your credit card interest payments are very high, then a good way to reduce this is to switch your balance to a card that has 0% interest on balance transfers for a certain period of time. This will mean that you can pay off the balance without having to worry about interest for the next few months. Shopping online Shopping online has become increasingly popular, mainly because of the convenience it offers and the low prices available. When shopping online it is important to always use a credit card to purchase items. This is because credit cards are much safer than other forms of payment, and offer purchase protection. This means that if something should go wrong with the sale, you have the ability to claim the money back from the credit card company. If you use your credit card wisely, then you will avoid getting heavily into debt and will have the freedom that using a credit card can afford you. Rhode Island Child Support - It Doesn’t Pay For Your Visitation!

May 14th, 2008 by dieuwertjeleo

By Christopher Pearsall As a Rhode Island lawyer focusing my practice in the areas of divorce and family law there is something I here quite frequently from fathers who are seeking representation for their Rhode Island child support issues. It can be summed up in one statement that I hear repeated often, “I shouldn’t have to pay all this child support to her when I don’t even get my visitation.” Child support and visitation for Rhode Island fathers are separate and distinct issues. When you pay child support as the father of a child you are paying what the Rhode Island family court has deemed is your fair share for the needs of your child. These things include food, clothing, shelter, child care, medical needs, basic necessities, etc. Fathers need to understand that regardless of whether they get their visitation or not through the mother of the child, that you are not paying for visitation. The two issues are separate and distinct. Child support is not something that a father may, or should, withhold simply because he is not getting his visitation. While it is logically understandable from a father’s point of view because it may be the only “leverage” the father can think of to create compliance with his visitation rights, it can have drastic consequences. A father who withholds court ordered child support in order to force his wife, ex-spouse or the mother of his child(ren) to comply with visitation, may quickly find that he is found in contempt by the court and held at the ACI until he complies with the court’s order. If the mother of your child(ren) is not complying with a visitation order, it is never advisable to withhold child support. A father who is denied his court ordered visitation is, generally speaking better off filing a Motion to Adjudge the mother in contempt for denial of his visitation rights.
